Ivan Chalupa’s primary practice focus is corporate and regulatory matters.

Ivan’s prior experience includes working as a law clerk for Squire Sanders and in an independent law office in Prague.

While attending law school, Ivan won several writing competition awards.

• Representing a US-based pharmaceutical company in negotiating clinical trial agreements with hospitals in the Czech Republic.
• Advising a US-based security dealer on establishing an agency in Central Europe.
• Advising a foreign energy company on the public procurement procedure regarding a turnkey contract for the construction of two units in a nuclear power plant.
• Assisting a Czech Republic-based developer with corporate restructuring, including a spinoff of assets into three subsidiaries, an aggregate transaction value exceeding CZK1 billion.
• Assisting a Czech Republic-based bank with a petition for insolvency of a value exceeding CZK200 million.
• Advising on the due diligence of a bank in the Czech Republic.
• Advising a municipality on state aid issues involving rent remission.
• Advising on implementing a state environmental program.
