Horst Daniel heads the international dispute resolution practice in the Squire Sanders Frankfurt office.

For more than 20 years he has focused on high profile national and international dispute resolution, regularly representing national and international companies at German and EU courts or in arbitration proceedings.

His particular expertise is in commercial arbitration and litigation, unfair competition, intellectual property (IP), antitrust and product liability matters. He has further developed a specialized practice area for temporary and permanent injunctions in cases of urgency. Horst often speaks on these topics at seminars and conferences.

    • Defending the selective distribution system of a multinational group against a wholesaler’s antitrust allegations.
    • Defending hundreds of advertising campaigns in unfair competition proceedings.
    • Representing a Europe-based cosmetics distributor in a dispute to state nullity of nationwide drugstores purchasing cartel in Germany.
    • Representing a major IT company in a libel dispute against former distributors.
    • Representing a Europe-based cosmetics company in complex alleged price fixing procedures.
    • Representing a global hotel chain in various IP and commercial disputes.
