Hidetoshi Asakura

Hidetoshi Asakura works with Japan-based and US-based companies, focusing on the legal issues involved in US-Japanese commercial and financial transactions. He advises clients with respect to general corporate law, joint ventures, technical licensing, securities law, loan transactions, mergers and acquisitions, real property transactions and other international transactions.

Hidetoshi has lectured on a variety of business topics including US mergers and acquisitions, real property transactions, US antidiscrimination laws and the taxation of US investment from Japan.

As an adjunct law professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Law and Politics since 2005, Hidetoshi teaches international contract law.

Hidetoshi is a member of the Daiichi Tokyo Bar Association. His status with the State Bar of California is inactive.
