Helen Kavanagh Professional Support Lawyer

Helen is the UK based Professional Support Lawyer for our Restructuring and Insolvency practice.  Her experience includes advising on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious restructuring, recoveries and insolvency work including administration, administrative receivership, LPA receivership, bankruptcy and distressed sales and purchases.

Helen is responsible for maintaining precedents and assisting with training of the trainees and qualified members of the team.  Helen also monitors developments in the insolvency field and liaises with the professional support lawyers in other units as well as other firms. Before becoming a professional support lawyer, Helen worked as a transactional lawyer in private practice for 17 years.

Helen is a fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, where she sits on the Membership and Member Services Committee, the Yorkshire Regional committee and Yorkshire Ladies committee. She is a fellow of the Association of Property and Fixed Charge Receivers and a member of the Insolvency Lawyers Association, Insolvency Practitioners Association and the Agricultural Law Association.
