Gordon S. Kaiser has extensive experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, complex finance, corporate governance, securities and public utility law. Mr. Kaiser was the lead counsel in numerous multibillion-dollar merger and acquisition transactions in the aerospace, industrial, electric utility and amusement park industries including one of the largest electric utility mergers in the United States. His international experience includes structuring and negotiating financing and merger and acquisition transactions in Japan, China, Western Europe and the Czech Republic. This international experience includes representing the Czech electric utility in the first public bond offering in the Czech Republic since the 1989 change in government.
Mr. Kaiser led the firm’s corporate practice group from 2002 to 2008 and is a recognized expert in a number of areas. He is regularly called upon by the media to provide his perspectives on evolving issues and news items. In addition, he is a regular guest lecturer and panelist on the university and professional level, covering business law topics. He is listed in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers 2010, Practical Law Company’s Which Lawyer? Yearbook 2009 and The Best Lawyers in America for more than 10 years. Mr. Kaiser also is listed in PLC Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions 2008/2009.
For the American Bar Association, Mr. Kaiser serves as vice chair for both the Infrastructure Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions Committee, and Corporate Governance Committee of the Public Utility, Communications and Transportation Law Section.
