Giles is a partner in our Corporate Transactions, Finance & Governance practice based in our London office. His particular expertise covers UK public company transactions including, notably, takeovers and other UK Takeover Code transactions, initial public offerings, reverse takeovers and public equity fundraisings on the Main Market/AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange and on PLUS Markets.
Giles was an Assistant Secretary at the UK Panel on Takeovers and Mergers between 2000 and 2002 and is a member of the Corporate Finance Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has been asked to speak at conferences on topics related to the UK’s capital markets and in particular, in relation to takeovers and continuing obligations for companies listed on the AIM Market.
Giles is listed in the UK legal publication Legal Experts 2011 as an expert in Corporate/ M&A. He is referred to in The Legal 500 UK as "being praised for his knowledge of listed markets".
