Gloria M. Gusler

Senior Associate

Gloria Gusler focuses her practice on intellectual property matters, particularly in the area of patent prosecution. Gloria’s background is in chemical engineering, materials and pharmaceuticals. She has worked for clients in the areas of medical devices and drug delivery.

Gloria was in-house patent counsel at a development stage pharmaceutical company where she managed the patent portfolio, directed outside counsel and advised executives on patent matters.

Prior to pursuing a career in law, Gloria worked in drug development where she managed a formulations team. She has more than 10 years of experience in drug development in both large and small company environments. Gloria is an inventor on several patents, is published in peer-reviewed journals and has made podium presentations at the Annual Meeting of the Controlled Release Society.

Gloria was also a National Research Council NIST post-doctoral research associate in the area of polymers. At Santa Clara University, she was a recipient of a Dean’s Fellow Scholarship and earned a Certificate in High Technology Law.

Representative Experience

    • Participating as part of a product development project team for which the product received US Food and Drug Administration approval of a New Drug Application.
