Elena Yurkina’s practice focuses on corporate matters including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and business restructuring. In addition to designing investment structures and drafting transactional documents, her experience includes performing complex legal due diligence and advising on procedural and legal requirements in setting up legal entities and their day-to-day operations.
As in-house counsel to an investment and managing company prior to joining Squire Sanders, Elena advised a group of companies on operations, dealt with antimonopoly consents for investment transactions, analyzed and assessed legal risks in investment projects.
Elena also worked with a global law firm and focused on corporate issues and operational activity of PSA contractors and subcontractors.

Advising and representing a leader in precision technology for innovative solutions in the health care, life sciences and consumer products industries in divestiture and the transfer of a diagnostic systems business to a NYSE-listed leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of products to simplify and automate complex biomedical tests.

Representing a client in a construction contract exceeding US$270 million and involving a 196,000-square-meter office building in Moscow. The contract was with a construction company involved in the construction of facilities for the Olympic Games.
