Dougal West assists with a wide range of front- and back-end work including working on various substantial disputes in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the State Administrative Tribunal. He also prepares regular applications or responses for parties involved in Construction Contracts Act 2004 (WA) adjudication proceedings.

Prior to joining Squire Sanders, Dougal worked as a senior policy adviser in the Western Australian Office of Energy and the Office of the Minister for Energy, advising on a wide range of energy-related matters including emissions trading scheme development, gas pipeline access and management legislation, and remote and regional electricity charging policies.

Dougal’s experience in environmental law was gained during his time as a law graduate with our legal practice.
