Diane L. Gibson, head of our San Francisco commercial litigation department, is a trial lawyer who has successfully represented clients in complex commercial litigation, evidentiary hearings and appeals. She has extensive experience in state and federal courts.
Diane's practice includes defense of class actions including labor and employment and consumer cases. She has special expertise in real estate and construction litigation, having handled disputes over the purchase and sale of property, leases, real estate limited partnerships, construction cases, and environmental and land use issues. She also has represented clients in a variety of other commercial disputes such as contract and business tort litigation, banking, intellectual property, partnership dissolution, securities cases and professional liability. She has substantial experience with alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation.
Diane also has handled appeals in a number of commercial and class action matters, in both state and federal court. She has argued numerous cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and California Courts of Appeal.
She is a frequent speaker on litigation topics. Diane has been selected by her peers for inclusion in Law & Politics magazine’s list of Northern California Super Lawyers each year since 2006.
