Emily Seidman’s practice focuses on general environmental matters.
Emily has experience in numerous areas of environmental law including advising clients on compliance and participating in complex litigations. This includes defending a Clean Air Act enforcement matter on behalf of a steel company, pursuing an insurance cost recovery litigation for a chemical company and defending a nuisance action for a steel company. Emily also has experience advising clients regarding compliance with the Clean Water Act, TSCA, CERCLA, EPCRA, FIFRA and RCRA.
Emily also has advised clients on workplace safety issues including maintaining OSHA compliance, preparing agency submissions and participating in a mandatory settlement conference before the Occupational Health and Safety Commission.
Prior to joining Squire Sanders, Emily was a visiting lawyer at the Environmental Law Institute in Washington DC. While attending law school, Emily was a judicial extern for The Honorable James M. Peck of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Emily is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
