Amy Bloom

Senior Associate

Amy Bloom focuses her practice on commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on complex product liability matters. She has been named as a top up and coming lawyer by South Florida Legal Guide each year since 2008.

Amy co-authored an article, “Direct-to-Consumer Advertising: Survival of the Learned Intermediary Doctrine,” that was presented at the Drug and Medical Device Seminar of the Defense Research Institute in May 2005. She also co-authored an article on expert witnesses in drug and medical device cases that was presented at a national conference sponsored by the American Conference Institute in 2008. In 2010 she submitted a memorandum regarding proposed revisions to Florida’s standard jury instructions in product liability cases to the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Civil Cases and co-authored a white paper on proposed legislation pertaining to the crashworthiness doctrine that was submitted to the Florida Senate.

She is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association.

Since 2008 Amy has served on the board of directors for the Opportunity Early Childhood Center, a school that offers low-cost, high-quality preschool child care to under-privileged families.

    • Defending numerous claims against sellers of prescription medications including VIOXX®, OxyContin®, Traysol® and Baycol® in state, federal and multidistrict litigation.
    • Defending claims against a seatbelt manufacturer in state and federal court.
