David Zagore concentrates his practice on general business representation of public and private companies. David regularly advises boards of directors and management on mergers and acquisitions, securities law matters, financings, tender offers and corporate control contests, executive compensation and corporate governance. David acts as head of Squire Sanders Midwest offices’ corporate finance practice group. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and appeared in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers 2011 and in Lawdragon’s Leading Lawyers 2006. He is also recognized by Law & Politics magazine as an Ohio Super Lawyer. David was named as one of 78 lawyers worldwide in BTI Consulting Group’s 2001 survey of Fortune 1000 corporate counsel as providing superior client service. He serves as primary outside counsel to several public companies.

David is active in the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section, the Ohio State Bar Association’s (OSBA) Corporation Law Committee and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Securities Law Section. He has chaired numerous OSBA drafting committees for Ohio corporate and securities law legislation. David serves as chair of the Tender Offer Subcommittee of the OSBA’s Corporation Law Committee and is the co-chair of the Takeover Advisory Committee of the Division of Securities of the State of Ohio. He is also a former co-editor of Ohio Corporation Law & Practice, published by Prentice Hall Law & Business.
