Damien Brown

Associate

Damien Brown is an associate in our Corporate Finance practice based in our Manchester office. His particular expertise covers aspects of mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, group reorganisations and company law advice. Damien has extensive transactional experience across a broad spectrum of sectors, acting for corporates, private equity houses, financial institutions and individuals.

Damien has recently spent over 4 months on secondment at a £1.2 billion turnover business advising in-house corporate counsel and the acquisition directors on a number of acquisition projects including two £30million plus acquisitions and personally running and completing three acquisitions.

Representative Experience

  • Running and coordinating due diligence teams and the preparation of due diligence reports whilst on secondment in respect of two £30 million plus acquisitions.
  • Advising on three £5million plus acquisitions in the social housing and utilities sectors whilst on secondment.
  • Advising in-house counsel and acquisition directors/senior management on all aspects of corporate finance transactions whilst on secondment.
  • Advising US corporation in respect of its investment into a Scottish offshore developments company.
  • Advising a UK listed company respect of its £5 million plus acquisition of an English nuclear services company.
  • Advising a UK based lender in respect of debt/equity swaps.
  • Acting multi-national UK listed plc in respect of the reorganization of its business (involving the reduction of capital and foreign subsidiaries)
  • Advising US based fund in respect of its acquisition of a UK, German and Chinese companies.
  • Acting for a multinational foreign listed company in respect of share acquisition of a UK company in the chemicals sector.
