Catherine Corrigan Tompkins’ practice includes representing governmental entities and private companies with economic development projects and public-private partnerships. Catherine advises clients on urban renewal and redevelopment, tax increment financing, tax abatements, community reinvestment areas and special improvement districts.

Additionally, Catherine serves as bond counsel for tax-exempt pollution control and solid waste facility financings for electric utility and industrial companies and for tax-exempt financings for private colleges and universities.

Prior to joining the firm, Catherine served as a judicial clerk to The Honorable Terrence O’Donnell of the Ohio Court of Appeals for the Eighth District, currently a justice on the Supreme Court of Ohio, and to The Honorable Donald C. Nugent of the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio.

Catherine serves on the firm’s hiring committee. In the community she is a member of the board of directors of Saint Augustine Health Campus, a member of the advisory committee of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance and a past member of the Advisory Group to the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio. She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
