Matthew Palmer’s practice includes advising and representing clients in corporate and healthcare transactional and commercial matters including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, joint ventures, contracts and corporate governance.
Matthew has experience representing hospitals, insurers, manufacturers, multispecialty physician practices, healthcare technology companies and individual medical professionals. His practice includes representation of for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
Prior to joining Squire Sanders, Matthew served as a law clerk to The Honorable David W. McKeague of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Matthew was the recipient of The Burton Award for Legal Achievement in 2006 for his article, “Where Have You Gone, Law and Economics Judges? Economic Analysis Advice to Courts Considering the Enforceability of Covenants Not to Compete Signed After At-Will Employment Has Commenced,” published in Ohio State Law Journal, Vol. 66:1105. He is also the author of articles in other areas of study including “Has Salary Discrimination Really Disappeared From Major League Baseball?” published in Eastern Economic Journal, Spring 2006.
