Christian Molina

Associate

Christian Molina focuses his practice in the litigation area, as well as in corporate, finance, real estate and labor issues.

He counsels local and international clients regularly on issues relating to foreclosure procedures, enforcement of Dominican and foreign court orders, collections, labor, and civil and commercial litigation. In addition, he has substantial experience in matters related to acquisitions, corporate transactions, financing and real estate.

He has undergone specialized programs in real estate law and in civil and commercial litigation. In regards to labor law, apart from providing general assistance to a variety of clients in the drafting of labor contracts, termination of high level executives and rendering of diverse legal opinions, he has led seminars focused on dispute prevention and on the improvement of labor relations from a legal standpoint.

Christian has conducted due diligence in diverse areas, from corporate issues, material contracts and real estate, to litigation and contingencies of different natures.

Also, Christian has rendered public dissertations in matters concerning trust law and its application in the Dominican Republic, and has carried and continues to work on extracurricular publications on this subject.

Representative Experience

    • Counseling one of the largest companies in Colombia in the due diligence and acquisition of a controlling interest in the most important ice cream manufacturer in the Dominican Republic, valued at US$38 million.
    • Working with the second largest telecommunications carrier in the Dominican Republic, the only Dominican Republic-based company to be listed in the New York Stock Exchange, in several matters related to corporate reorganization pursuant to a bankruptcy motion filed under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.
    • Serving as legal counsel to one of the main North American intelligence and equipment corporations in the due diligence, corporate organization and participation in a public bidding sponsored by the Dominican Ministry of Armed Forces for a contract valued at US$35 million.
    • Assisting the largest bank in the Dominican Republic in the due diligence and closing of a US$36 million loan agreement with one of the country's most important real estate and tourism developers.Ÿ
    • Advising clients on procedures seeking recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in the Dominican Republic.
    • Counseling clients regularly on collection and labor claims, real estate transactions, real property foreclosure procedures, and labor and employment matters.
