G. Christopher Meyer

Christopher Meyer concentrates his practice on bankruptcy and insolvency issues. He has significant experience in workouts, restructurings and bankruptcy reorganizations including representing both debtors and creditors in commercial cases. Mr. Meyer also has experience in general real estate and commercial lending and in troubled loan issues. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for more than 10 years and appears in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers, PLC Which lawyer? Yearbook, The Legal 500 US and Legal Media Group’s Guide to the World’s Leading Insolvency and Restructuring Lawyers.
Mr. Meyer has also been selected by Law & Politics magazine as an Ohio Super Lawyer each year since 2005.

Mr. Meyer’s recent experience includes representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 reorganization cases, secured creditors in loan workouts and parties proposing acquisitions and other business transactions with troubled businesses.

Mr. Meyer is a member of a number of professional associations and organizations. These include the American Bar Association and its Business Bankruptcy Committee and Commercial and Financial Services Committee. He is also a member and Trustee of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and a member and past Chair of its Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section. He is a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and Chair of the College’s Liaisons Committee. He is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. In addition, he is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and a past president and trustee of TMA’s Northeast Ohio chapter. Mr. Meyer is an adjunct professor of law at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He is also a trustee and past board president of the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center.
