Cipriano Beredo regularly advises public companies, privately held businesses and financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate finance transactions, and a wide range of corporate governance and general business matters. 

Cip has particular experience representing corporations and private equity firms in complex multijurisdictional acquisition and divestiture transactions. He has represented companies across a broad spectrum of industries including manufacturers, chemical companies, aerospace companies, banks, defense contractors and technology companies.

In the past two years, Cip has represented clients in closing more than 10 merger and acquisition transactions totaling more than US$3 billion. He is listed in the 2012 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for corporate law, The Legal 500 US for his expertise in mergers and acquisitions and the 2011 and 2012 editions of Ohio Super Lawyers.

Cip is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the American Bar Association and Cleveland Bridge Builders, Flagship Program Class of 2006. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio, a not-for-profit that advances diversity and advocates for understanding through education and training. He also serves as Corporate Secretary of Cleveland Development Advisors, Inc., an organization that manages private-sector investment capital to advance economic and community development in the city of Cleveland.

• Advising a public company on its US$145 million acquisition of substantially all of the assets of an Ohio amusement park.
• Advising a leading manufacturer of residential, commercial, industrial and municipal water treatment systems on a US$135 million disposition.
