Chris Keane

Associate

Chris is an Associate in our Restructuring and Insolvency practice based in the Leeds office. His expertise covers a broad range of both personal and corporate insolvency on a contentious and non-contentious basis. Chris advises banks and other financiers, insolvency practitioners and other insolvency professionals and directors as well as creditors on all issues arising in stressed and distressed scenarios.

Chris’s particular proficiency relates to contentious insolvency, advising in relation to appointment, antecedent transactions and procedural applications made pursuant to the Insolvency Act 1986.

Representative Experience

  • UV Modular – advising the administrators from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP with regards to the renegotiation of contracts to realise value in partially complete ambulance vehicles and subsequent advice in relation to a substantial antecedent transaction.
  • Instrip Demolition – advice in relation to a significant number of substantial antecedent transactions as a result of ‘asset stripping’.
  • Amble Assets LLP – injunctive proceedings relief to protect the premises, plant and machinery of the company in administration.
  • WM Proserv LLP – advising liquidators from BDO LLP in relation to the sale of an insolvent restructuring and accountancy practice.
