Catherine Romanchek focuses her practice on both public securities and public revenue finance. She has assisted with initial and refunding financings for cities, counties, villages and school districts including issuances of general obligation bonds, revenue bonds and certificates of participation. Catherine has also assisted with Ohio Higher Education Facility Commission bond issues used to finance projects of private Ohio colleges and universities. She has acted as counsel on both real estate and construction matters for various public entities.

She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar and Ohio State Bar Associations.

Representative Experience

• Preparing leases, a trust agreement and financing documents for a US$32,065,000 refunding of certificates of participation used to finance a municipal baseball stadium.
• Preparing financing documents for the refunding of municipal electric system revenue bonds.
• Preparing leases, trust agreements and financing documents for State of Ohio Higher Educational Facility Revenue Bonds issued to assist a private college in constructing a new dormitory and acquiring property.
