Caroline Castle is a Senior Associate in our Restructuring and Insolvency practice based in the Leeds office. She is involved in a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious restructuring, recoveries and insolvency work including administration, administrative receivership, LPA receivership, bankruptcy, factor and discount collect outs, distressed sales and purchases.
In particular Caroline is experienced in advising administrators in connection with business disposals. The recent decline in the property market has caused Caroline to form a specialism in the property aspects of insolvency law and advising LPA receivers.

Representative Experience
- Swayfields Group - Extra Motorway Services Areas - advising the joint administrators, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, on the disposal of the national service station operator which traded under the Extra name and had a debt owing to the Group's banks in excess of £300 million.
- Consort Homes - advising KPMG LLP, the joint administrators on the administration of the well known Yorkshire residential house developer.
- Dolcis Shoes - advising the joint administrators, KPMG LLP in relation to the administration of the national high street shoe retailer, which traded from 185 outlets and employed 1,200 people.
- Greenwoods Menswear - advising in connection with the pre-packed disposal of the national menswear retailer, which traded through 87 stores.
- Stylo plc - conducting a complex and detailed security review on behalf of Lloyds Banking Group prior to administration of the Yorkshire based retailer which traded as Barratts and Priceless Shoes.
- Whittard of Chelsea - advising the distressed private equity fund, EPIC on the purchase of the worldwide specialist fine tea and coffee chain from administrators at Ernst & Young LLP.
- ISA Daisytek Group of Companies - advising administrators from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP on one of the first English administration orders obtained under the EC Regulation on Insolvency Proceedings.
