Carmen Echarte is a member of the Corporate Transactions, Finance & Governance Practice Group of Squire Sanders. She advises clients in a wide range of transactional matters with a particular focus on corporate law, general business transactions, due diligence reviews and M&A deals. Additionally, she assists in real estate general business transactions.

Prior to joining Squire Sanders Carmen gained experience at Baker & Mckenzie as well as a Spain-based law firm, drafting various legal documents and improving her legal research and analysis skills.

Representative Experience

• Advising non-Spain-based companies on how to establish subsidiaries in Spain and their particular operation.
• Providing counsel to corporate clients on such matters as incorporation of legal entities, drafting and negotiating foundation documents, corporate compliance, statutory reforms, board secretaries, obligations and liability of shareholders and directors, agreements among shareholders, and board and general meeting regulations. 
• Assisting corporate clients in sale and purchase agreements and mortgage transactions.
• Assisting in drafting and enforcement of agreements under Spain laws.
• Assisting in drafting real estate agreements such as leases.
