Bryan Jaketic’s practice includes all aspects of patent law. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications and participates in inter partes review and ex parte reexamination at the US Patent and Trademark Office. His prosecution work encompasses mechanical technology (including automotive, aerospace, medical devices and manufacturing technology), materials science, signal communication, computer software and business methods.

Bryan regularly provides infringement and invalidity opinions, and is frequently involved in patent litigation matters. He also counsels clients on trademark and copyright law.

Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Bryan was a primary examiner with the US Patent and Trademark Office in Northern Virginia, where he examined patent applications and performed searches to ensure that applications and claimed inventions met applicable patent statutes and rules in all phases of patent prosecution. His research focused on the business method and mechanical arts.
