Ben Williams, a former trainee of the firm, qualified into our Banking practice in Autumn 2010. Ben’s practice focuses on acting for both lenders and borrowers with work covering non-contentious banking and finance transactions.
Ben is a keen sportsman and in 2010 ran the London Marathon for the firm’s charity of the year.

- Acting for Investec Bank plc in connection with a £16,000,000 term and revolving facility to fund the acquisition by Rutland Partners LLP of Brandon Hire plc.
- Acting for UK Football Investments LLC on the purchase of English Championship football club Sheffield Wednesday from Sheffield Wednesday plc.
- Acting for Coutts & Co. in connection with the provision of banking facilities to a concert and merchandising company.
- Acting for multiple financial institutions in their lending and derivatives arrangements with Lehman Brothers International (Europe).
- Acting on the £583,000,000 recommended cash, share and loan note mix-and-match offer for The BSS Group plc by Travis Perkins plc, by way of scheme of arrangement.
- Acting for HSBC Bank plc in connection with a bi-lateral term and revolving loan facility to fund the acquisition of Quartal Flife by Investis Limited, a specialist in online investor relations and reporting.
- Acting for UK Football Investments LLC on the sale of English Championship football Club Leicester City Football Club Limited to Asia Football Investments Pte Limited a Thai-based consortium.
- Acting for UK Sports Investments Limited on the sale of Manchester City Limited to an Abu Dhabi-based consortium controlled by Sheikh Mansour of Abu Dhabi.
