Adrienne Salerno’s practice focuses on complex litigation matters including environmental and product liability.
Since joining Squire Sanders, much of Adrienne's practice focuses on complex environmental litigation, including successful law and motion practice, preparation for and taking depositions of fact witnesses such as local government agency representatives, coordination with experts and litigation consultants on strategy for remedial technologies and coordination with local regulatory agencies regarding groundwater and soil investigation and remediation work. Adrienne’s environmental practice has included litigation regarding soil and groundwater contamination in both state and federal courts as well as pro bono work for family-run aquaculture operations.
As a judicial extern to The Honorable Florence-Marie Cooper of the United States District Court, Central District of California, she drafted research memoranda regarding civil rights, First Amendment, wrongful death and wrongful termination issues.
Adrienne is a member of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association, and the Litigation and Environmental Law Sections of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Representative Experience
- Representing non-US automotive industry clients in products liability litigation, including obtaining a dismissal on jurisdictional grounds, which was affirmed on appeal.
- Serving on the counsel teams for multinational companies in environmental matters including the defense of soil and groundwater contamination claims and cost recovery associated with extensive remediation efforts.
- Successfully arguing before the California Court of Appeals an appeal regarding a trial court costs award.
- Achieving dismissal of Ninth Circuit appeal against a pro bono immigration client after obtaining the Board of Immigration Appeals’ grant of motion to re-open.
