Amy is an Associate in our Real Estate practice and is based in our Manchester office. Amy undertakes a variety of general non-contentious construction work (acting predominantly for developers, retailers and local authorities/public bodies), projects/PFI work and property support work. Amy has also been involved with a number of contentious construction matters.
Representative Experience
- Negotiated the building contract, professional team appointments, novation agreements and related warranties for a mixed used residential and hotel scheme in the centre of Liverpool.
- Negotiated the building contract, professional team appointments, novation agreements and related warranties for the refurbishment of a hotel in the centre of Birmingham.
- Amy was seconded to the North West Development Agency from December 2008 to October 2009 where she was primarily involved with the Business Start-up Project. This involved working as part of the project team and taking a lead role in the drafting and negotiation of the supplier services contracts and Grant Funding Agreements and the provision of legal advice.
- Negotiated the building contract, professional team appointments and related warranties in relation to a substantial signature office building for Liverpool City Centre.
- Negotiated the building contract, professional team appointments and related warranties in relation to an industrial development in Hawarden near Chester.
- Assisted in the negotiation of development funding agreements for a substantial Town Centre re-development.
- Negotiated development agreements for various retail developments.
- Leeds Independent Living PFI Project – assisting in advising the Consortium on a PFI project to build approximately 265 units on 30 sites in Leeds that provide supportive accommodation to people with mental health and learning disability needs.
- Miles Platting Social Housing PFI – assisting on Manchester City Council's £192m housing PFI project.
- Assisting on the Redcar Street Lighting PFI Project.
- Assisting on the non-contentious construction aspects of a range of different development projects acting for developers, retailers and local authorities/public bodies.
