Amanda Everton

Associate

Amanda is an Associate in our Labour & Employment practice based in our Birmingham, United Kingdom office. She advises on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues and acts predominantly on behalf of employers. Amanda has extensive experience in running a wide range of Tribunal matters (including conducting advocacy) and regularly advises on day-to-day issues such as grievances and disciplinary matters, working time issues, maternity and family friendly rights, performance management and sickness absence. She also assists employers with strategic issues such as large-scale redundancy/re-organisation exercises and TUPE transfers. Amanda is a keen public speaker, regularly presenting at seminars on topical issues.

  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims of sexual harassment and disability discrimination for a major high street software retailer.
  • Guiding a leading US provider of international technology solutions through a complex UK redundancy consultation process.
  • Advising a leading European lens manufacturer in relation to a TUPE transfer arising from a re-tendering exercise.
  • Conducting the employment-related due diligence for the £80m takeover and delisting of an international provider of medical equipment.
  • Negotiating compromise agreements on behalf of employees being made collectively redundant from an international law firm.
  • Drafting new service agreements following the £32.8 million management buy out of a telecommunications group.
  • Redrafting Employee Handbook for a FTSE 100 pub company.
  • Drafting contracts of employment and policy documentation for a large international global resources company and advising on their implementation in the UK.
  • Designing and delivering bespoke training on the internal management of Employment Tribunal claims to HR Managers at a household express delivery company.
