Alexandra Gacíková’s practice focuses on corporate, commercial, real estate, public procurement, intellectual property and litigation matters.

Her experience in real estate matters includes representing national and international clients in acquisition and disposal of real estate across the Slovak Republic, and providing legal services in all aspects of real estate ownership.

Alexandra advises on corporate transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions and financings. Her corporate experience includes counseling clients on incorporating all types of corporate entities in the Slovak Republic spanning numerous industries.

Alexandra’s public procurement expertise includes representing clients in all stages of the tender procedure, from the preparation of competitive bids to completion of the procedure.

Alexandra graduated from the Faculty of Law, Trnava University in Trnava, the Slovak Republic. Prior to joining the Bratislava office of Squire Sanders as an associate she worked as a sole practitioner and was a registered legal trainee in one of Bratislava’s law firms, concentrating mainly on mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and litigation.

Alexandra is a member of the Slovak Bar Association.

Representative Experience

• Advising the largest UK-based retail chain investor in the Slovak Republic in greenfield and brownfield freehold and leasehold acquisitions in various Slovak cities for retail and warehousing purposes including advising on a broad range of real estate ownership issues including distraint proceedings and litigation.
• Representing a Slovak Republic-based branch of the international investment and development group in connection with preparation of contracts on transfer of legal title to apartments and land designated for construction of family houses, as well as complex legal advisory services regarding all corporate matters of the client.
• Representing the largest home savings bank in the Slovak Republic in a legal proceeding regarding determination of legal title to property including preparation of several legal analyses regarding possible termination of the dispute by settlement agreement and regarding plaintiff’s claims against the defendant.
• Representing a company operating in the Slovak Republic in rental of motor vehicles in the company’s trademark and its use outside the territory of the Slovak Republic.
