Alana C. Jochum

Alana Jochum’s practice focuses on litigation matters.
During law school, she competed in the 2009 American Bar Association St. Louis Regional Moot Court Competition and earned the first place award for “Best Brief” with her teammates. She also served as a law clerk for a Cleveland-based law firm and as a legal research assistant at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
Alana was asked by Dean Geoffrey Mearns to give the “Learn Law, Live Justice” student commencement speech at her law school graduation.
Her note, Pleading in Ohio After Bell Atlantic v. Twombly and Ashcroft v. Iqbal: Why Ohio Shouldn’t “Notice” a Change, 58 Cleveland State Law Review, p. 495 (2010), was published.
Alana is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan, Ohio State and American Bar Associations. She also serves on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Northern Ohio Steering Committee.
